ANYBODY is another view on B&H; a reflection, without people, without words, about the country. Escapism or exploration? Probably both.

Director’s Biography

Timur Makarevic was born in Jajce, Bosnia And Herzegovina, in 1976. Finished secondary art school during the war. Studied art academy, which he stopped in 1997 to start working in the Soros Centre For Contemporary Arts. Had some additional education in France (…cole supÈrieure des beaux-arts de Marseille) and in Italy (Fabrica, Benetton’s communication research centre). Short film called “What Do I Know” that he directed together with Sejla Kameric, was in the official competition programme of the Venice Film Festival in 2007. This short won awards in Zagreb, Croatia and Adana, Turkey. His short film “The Wake” won the special mention by the Sarajevo Film Festival jury in 2008. Last year his documentary “Anybody” was shown in the official programme of the Sarajevo Film Festival.

izložba / performans / radionica

U petak 18. septembra (20:00) u OKC Abrašević u Mostaru otvara se izložba INDIVIDUALNE UTOPIJE, umjetnice Lale Raščić. U okviru izložbe, pored serije crteža, reljefa, knjige, nekoliko video radova i performansa (Lala Raščić & Vuneny) koji će se izvesti na otvaranju, izložit će se i realizirani radovi polaznika kreativne radionice ŠKOLA ZA MAŠTANJE koja se održava od 16. do 18. septembra pod vodstvom Lale Raščić.

Izložba INDIVIDUALNE UTOPIJE kao i radionica ŠKOLA ZA MAŠTANJE odvijaju se u sklopu projekta “Individualne utopije nekad i sad – Diskontinuitet generacijskog dijaloga ili šta nam je zajedničko?” u organizaciji SCCA/pro.ba i partnerskih organizacija iz Albanije (T.I.C.A.) i Srbije (Centar za nove medije_kuda.org).

The project is a partnership between three organisations from Albania (T.I.C.A., Tirana), Bosnia and Herzegovina (SCCA/pro.ba, Sarajevo) and Serbia (Center_kuda.org, Novi Sad). Socio-political images of those three countries are only the starting points for the project, which in a broad sense tries to encompass past, present and future situations in community, transitional transformations of individual and collective identities in general, critically observing the Balkan’s position towards Europe and vice versa.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, new movements in music are usually mixed into the same programs as pop and mainstream music (even folk) and thus remain removed from it’s actual audience, the one which has a more profound taste.

As a result, the music which aims to have a more artistic and social content (engagement) doesn’t have the opportunity to influence neither the audience nor the society. This was a guideline in creating the Cu Dzo AM Show – a music program produced by SCCA/pro.ba for BHTV1.

In it’s first season the Cu – Dzo AM Charts combined informational comments on domestic, regional and foreign music scene with music videos and a film-like studio set. In the atmosphere of film noir and Technicolor, voices of two radio hosts led the audience through the show. Two actors, dressed in mid 20th century film costumes, listen to the show while driving in their car. They make random comments and debate over the place the song should have in the chart.

Second season of the show – themed with the 60’s era – reviewed the current alternative and underground scene and featured two actors dressed as hippies with a load of wooden planks in the back of their van driving to their final destination – Woodstock. On the road they would pick up hitchhikers (usually a member of the music scene the show portrayed).

Samir Culic (Cu) and Samir Mrsevic (Dzo) are DJs and radio hosts since the times of legendary Radio Zid. The audience is quite familiar both with their voices and their music taste. Running time of the show was 26 minutes and it featured up to six music videos.
